Long An provincial leaders sign up to the Sai Gon-MeKong E.city Project

On behalf of Tan Tao Group, Chairwoman of the Management Board Ms. Dang Thi Hoang Yen and President Mr. Thai Van Men expressed the Group‘s hopes for long-term cooperation and a positive contribution to economic development of Long An province through the development of projects, particularly Sai Gon-MeKong E.city Urban Zone.

Mr. Thai Van Men said: “Sai Gon-MeKong E.city Urban Zone is a green, clean, and beautiful new urban zone. When the project comes into operation, it will a highlight the pride of Long An province by developing high-end accommodation, entertainment zones and cultural heritage preservation centers…”

Having viewed the Detailed Project Plan at the working session, all high-level leaders of Long An province unanimously agreed upon the project Tan Tao Group proposed. Mr. Truong Van Tiep, Secretary of Long An provincial Central Party said: “Sai Gon-MeKong E.city Urban Zone will be a new product on Long An ‘s market. Therefore, investors (Tan Tao Group) will need to work closely with the related departments, boards, branches of Long An province to develop the project in the most effective way. It will be regarded as an influential project not only in Long An but in other localities in the future”.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thiep, Head of Department of Resources and Environment shared the same view: “This is an ideal project with a high density of green plants - thereby meeting the green urban standard – that will create a sanitary, clean and pleasant living environment.”

The Project Plan will require a number of modifications that have been proposed by the professional bodies of the province. Mr. Duong Quoc Xuan, President of the provincial People ‘s Committee suggested that the investors, consultancy companies and departments, bodies and branches of Long An province should work specifically to complete the final Project Plan by early March of 2008 so that it can be submitted it to the responsible bodies.

The Chairwoman of the Management Board Ms. Dang Thi Hoang Yen, answering the queries of Long An provincial leaders, said she expected that with the cooperation of leading American urban design consultants, the Master Plan will be soon completed so that the project can go ahead with its implementation as scheduled.
