Milky US: No melamine and absolute safety for consumers

With the motto ‘Ensuring safety for consumers’, Milky US products have become a prestigious brand among Vietnamese consumers for the past 3 years. While there is increasingly more concerns reagrding the contamination of milk and dairy products contaminated with melamine and consumers, particularly parents, are looking for safe products confirmed melamine free by testin. On September 24, 2008, the Vietnam US High Technology Dairy Co. sent the samples of Baby powder milk, Family full cream powder milk, Milky yoghurt (orange, fruit, mulberry), Milky US sterilized milk (wheat, strawberry, chocolate) to the Center of Analytical Services and Experiment, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology to be tested.

On September 29, 2008, the testing results of the Centre confirmed the absence of melamine in 9 samples of Milky US milk and dairy products.

“After the results of those tests confirm the absence of melamine in Milky US dairy products are published, our company has issued Document N0 79/CV-MU/08 to announce the result to customers. We pledge to provide completely safe products for customers. Our Milky US products always meet with food safety standards and specific customers requirements.” Mr. Ho Quyen Loi, Vice-president of the Vietnam US High Technology Dairy Company said.

On the other hand, Milky US has imported all raw materials from the United States, New Zealand and Europe. Its quality assurance processes is strictly inspected and supervised by foreign engineers and specialists according to the ISO and HACCP standards.

Milky US began launching its first products in Vietnam on May 19, 2006. The company, with a total investment capital of USD 10 million, is comprised of various shareholders including Tan Tao Investment & Industry Corp., Tan Duc Investment Co., Tan Long Phat Co., and Gannon Vietnam Co.. It is located in Tan Duc Industrial Park, Long An province on 50 ha area with a capacity of 30 million litter each year.

With the slogan “Nurturing future - building talents”, the company has actively expanded its charity activities to support poor students to overcome hardships in their studies and life.

In particular, the Trans-Vietnam “Journey to nurture future” launched from May 15 to June 2 this year to mark the 118th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth and International Children‘s Day June 1 was undertaken by the Milky US Co. and the Tan Tao Group. The journey aims at assisting and supporting poor students, orphans, handicapped persons and poor families in the North and Central region with 45,000 gifts worth VND 5 billion granted in 13 provinces.
