Former Vice State President Truong My Hoa visits Tan Tao IP

In the morning of September 30, former Vice State President Truong My Hoa, Chairwoman of Vu A Dinh scholarship foundation paid a visit to the Tan Tao Industrial Park.

Her visit was accompanied by Mr. Pham Thanh Long, Director of Vu A Dinh scholarship foundation and editorial chief of the Young Pioneer newspaper (Thieu Nien Tien Phong); Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Thuy, Head of the HCM City Emulation & Commendation Department; Mr. Nguyen Phung Thieu, CEO and President of the Sai Gon Real Estate Co. and representatives of the Labor newspaper (Lao Dong), Youth newspaper (Tuoi Tre), Law newspaper (Phap Luat) and Ho Chi Minh City television station…etc.

At the meeting, President of the Tan Tao Group, Thai Van Men, introduced the delegation to the Tan Tao Group‘s history and development, as well as its projects and charity activities across the country of the more recent past and present.

The Group has just successfully held the Hoa Trang Nguyen Award to honor and award outstanding high school students and the highest scorers in the 2008 national university entrance exam all over the country.

Apart from its three large charity foundations “ITA for Future”, “ITA for overcoming diseases”, “ITA for healing sorrows”, the Tan Tao Group has supported the Vu A Dinh foundation to look after the young generation as well as minority ethnic students nationwide with good academic performance regardless of their poor conditions. For the past five years, the Group has donated total VND 1,5 billion to the fund.

In the future, the Vu A Dinh foundation will raise its scholarship value awarded to poor minority ethnic students with good results in study inluding VND 500,000 for elementary school students and VND 800,000 for secondary and high school students, and VND 1 million for university students.

“The Vu A Dinh foundation should strive to develop further to assist and ensure the best educational conditions for poor minority ethnic students so that they could have significant contribution to the future development of the country. Such requires cooperation and coordination of all social levels and departments, particularly local community and enterprises to look after the young generation”, former Vice State President Truong My Hoa underlined during the meeting.

After working with the Tan Tao Group, the delegation came to visit the Truong Long Auto & Technique Company, Southeast Pharmaceutical Trade and Production Co. and Hung Vuong Co. in the Tan Tao Industrial Park.
