ITA Group reports project of founding Tan Tao University

In the afternoon of January 13th 2009, the Foundation Board of the Tan Tao University worked with the People‘s Committee of Long An province, representatives of departments and sectors to report the foundation of the Tan Tao University.

In the afternoon of January 13th 2009, the Foundation Board of the Tan Tao University worked with the People‘s Committee of Long An province as well as representatives of departments and sectors on the foundation of the Tan Tao University.The Foundation Board was represented by: Ms. Dang Thi Hoang Yen (Chairwoman of the Tan Tao Group, Head of the project), Dr. Mark Scheid (President of the Tan Tao University; PhD Vo Tong Xuan, Vice-president of the Tan Tao University), Mr. Thai Van Men (President of the ITA Group), Mr. Nguyen Tuan Minh (Vice-president of the Group, Vice Head of the project).

The conference was also attended by Mr. Duong Quoc Xuan (Chairman of the People‘s Committee of Long An province), Mr. Tran Huu Phuong (Vice-Chairman of the People‘s Committee and representatives of related agencies,departments and sectors).

At the conference, Mr. Minh presented the project to the leaders of the Long An province.

The establishment of the Tan Tao University will meet growing educational demand and contribute to the development of private college and university model, universally used in developed countries but still undeveloped in Vietnam. In particular, the university will directly provide skilled human resources to facilitate the expansion of industrial parks in Ho Chi Minh City, Long An, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Central Southern and Central Highland Regions along with companies in the industrial parks which are owned by the ITA Group comprising Tan Tao, Nhon Trach and Kinh Bac Industrial Parks.

The Tan Tao University regards educational quality as first priority
to become a prestigious trademark regionally and nationwide.

With the aim of becoming the largest university in Vietnam and Top 100 Asian universities. This University will provide a research and science centre for the whole country; the Tan Tao University will draw prestigious lecturers from renowned universities across globe. All participants at the meeting also contributed opinions to the Tan Tao University foundation project and expected it to commence operation soon.
