ITA Group‘s chairwoman visits thermal power plant in Japan

Representatives of ITA Group, International Power Group, Sojiz and Kyushu power corporations visit the Reihoku thermal power plant.

On November 4 and 5, ITA Group ‘s Chairwoman Dang Thi Hoang Yen worked with the International Power Group (IP) and Japanese partners in Tokyo to seek cooperation opportunities for the construction of Kien Luong thermal power plant.

The IP is a world-renowned power corporation with an aggregate production capacity of 33,000 MW in 20 countries. Sojitz and Kyushu are the two largest power corporations in Japan, majoring in machinery, traditional and renewable energy and with its operation in numerous countries. Kyushu‘s power plants have accounted for 10% power demand in Japan.

On this occasion, ITA Group‘s Chairwoman paid a visit to the Reihoku thermal power plant in Kyushyu island to seek advanced technologies to construct the Kien Luong thermal power plant. Reihoku is a 1400 MW power plant of the Kyushu Electric Power Co. with the two-third of Kumamoto‘s power demand supply .

After 13 years in operation, the plant still assures its full capacity in comply with Japan‘s strict environmental standards. No trace of dust is found right next to the coal storage place. During the visit, even when using hands to check, the chairwoman didn’t see any dust on leaves and the banister, which is as clean as high-end residences. In addition, the plant also has a green house with plentiful trees and blooming flowers all year round. ITA Group‘s chairwoman said to Japanese partners: “We desire to bring back and build such plant in Kien Luong.”

According to IP’s representative Tom Mackay, this is a power plant with the highest environment quality he has ever visited around the world.
