Tan Tao Group donates VND 2 billion to Fund for poor people in Long An

In the evening of September 19, the program ‘Connecting Kind Hearts’ for raising fund for poor people in Long An province was held at the Lan Anh Music Stage in Ho Chi Minh City.
The ‘Connecting Kind Hearts’ Music Night was held by the ‘Day for Poor’ Board of Long An province in coordination with the Vietnamese entrepreneurs club, Ho Chi Minh City television station and the Long An provincial radio and television station
The program had the attendance of Mr. Huynh Dam, Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Mr. Truong Hoa Binh, Member of PCC and Chief Judge of the People’s Supreme Court; Mr. Truong Van Tiep, Member of PCC and Secretary of the Long An Party Committee; Mr. Duong Quoc Xuan, Vice-secretary and President of the Long An People‘s Committee.
The program was also attended by Mrs. Truong My Hoa, former Vice State President, Mrs. Vo Thi Thang, former Member of PCC and former Chairman of the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, Consul General of China in HCM City, representative of Korean Consulate General and representatives of enterprises raising Fund for the Long An poor people.

Long An currently has about 60,000 poor households, accounting for 19 percent, in which there are 3,000 extremely poor families. The music performance aims at connecting kind hearts to help the poor with many difficulties in life.
In 2007, the Tan Tao Group donated Long An VND 2.1 billion to build 70 compassion houses for poor families in 7 districts comprising Vinh Hung, Tan Thanh, Thanh Hoa, Duc Hue, Moc Hoa, Thu Thua and Tan Hung.
During the ‘Connecting Kind Hearts’ Night, the Tan Tao Group donated VND 2 billion to the Fund for the poor of Long An province.
The program has raised VND 51,170 million and USD 1,000 for poor people. Large donations were received from the Saigon Invest Group with VND 21.5 billion, Khang Thong with VND 5 billion, Vincom JSC. with VND 4.5 billion, Chen Yong – Taiwan with VND 3 billion, Tan Tao Group with VND 2 billion, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Company with VND 1 billion and Gold Long Thanh with VND 1 billion.
