Tan Tao University to admit students to the general practice discipline in 2013
The Ministry of Education and Training issued the Decision No. 2146/QD-BGDDT on June 18, 2013 assigning Tan Tao University to provide education and training for the general practice discipline. It is a very good news for students wishing to study at the Medical School of Tan Tao University.
Tan Tao University has planned to open the Medical School with the discipline of general practice since 2011 with the collaboration of several renowned Vietnamese physicians from the United States and South Korea such as Prof. Dr. Bui Duy Tam, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Duc, Prof. Dr. Thach Nguyen and Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thuan.
A delegation of physicians from the University of Chicago Medicine in Illinois State, United States visited the Tan Tao University and the Tan Tao Medical Center, the eight-storey building, to give advices on the design of the types of laboratory and clinic rooms. The project has also received support from specialists of the Ho Chi Minh City National Medical University and the Hanoi National University, especially the guidance of the Appraisal Council of Hanoi Medical University and Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy University and the Education Department of the Ministry of Health.
During the first school year 2013-2014, Tan Tao University will recruit 50 students to the discipline of general practice at the Medical School. All admitted students shall be granted full scholarships to study until graduation.
