News from the Middle East: An important premise of development to boost Vietnam and Qatar cooperation

At 11h (local time), on December 11, 2007, at the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung delivered a speech and witnessed the signing ceremony of Labor Export Contract between Petromaing and Ramco ‘s representatives, Mr.Bui Hai Hoa, General Director and Mr. Anwa Quasi.

An exchange conference had taken place between Vietnam businesses, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and Qatar businesses, Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) at the same place. The Deputy Prime Minister announced, in the coming time, that Vietnam will implement large infrastructure projects including airports, seaports and Vietnam will create favorable conditions for Qatar investors to participate in the investment in these projects. Qatar investors can make 100% direct foreign investment in Vietnam or through the Stock Market. Among the entrepreneurs accompanying Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung to visit 3 Gulf countries was Ms. Nguyen Thi Suong, Deputy General Director of Tan Tao Group.

The Deputy Prime Minister, on December 10, 2007, signed a Memorandum of establishing diplomatic relationship, setting up Vietnam Embassy in Qatar and Qatar Embassy in Hanoi in forthcoming time, laying the foundation toward expanding economic, tourism cooperation and cultural exchange between two countries.
