offers scholarships to students

On the morning of January 31, 2008, 70 gifts and VND 1 million scholarships sponsored by the Vietnam-US High Technology Dairy Joint Stock Company (Milky US) of Tan Tao Group were offered to students in the Hamlet 1 compassion class in Le Minh Xuan commune in the Binh Chanh district.

Smiles were seen on the bright faces of the students receiving the Tet presents. Their attendants couldn’t help hiding their feelings, particularly teacher Nguyen Thi Tinh, who expressed great joy to see so much care given to her students.

The compassion class was established by Mrs. Tinh and her daughter in 1999. The class takes place in her house and is reserved for students of poor families in the new settlement.

The program of offering Tet presents to poor students with good academic performance in Ho Chi Minh City was sponsored by the Vietnam-US High Technology Dairy Joint Stock Company (Milky US) of Tan Tao Group in coordination with the Children Love newspaper (Bao Yeu Tre) of the Ho Chi Minh City Committee for Population, Family and Children). The program is set to continue until February 4, 2008.
