Congratulation to the 2008 International Economic Conference

After 20 years of renovation, Vietnam has gained significant achievements and has changed the country‘s image and leveled up Vietnam status in the world arena. In particular, after becoming a full member of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Vietnam‘s economy has strengthened its integration

process into the World economy. During this process, the external economic relations’ activities and external economic promotions play a key role.

In this respect, I express my high appreciation to the World and Vietnam newspaper in coordination with The Economist (British newspaper) to organize the International Economic Conference in the perspective of creating an additional important forum for exchanging ideas, experiences as well as boosting mutual exchanges activities, trade promotion, investment and tourism. This is an occasion for us to promote the country‘s image, consolidate the trust of foreign businesses in the economic cooperation with Vietnam on the long-term basis. I hope that the Conference will acquire positive responses, contributions and support of Ministries, Departments, local authorities as well as domestic and foreign partners.

Best wishes to the International Economic Conference.
