S.E.I begins a new stage of expansion

S.E.I, together with Tan Tao Investment & Industry Corporation, has played key roles in changing a large deserted are of waste land in western Ho Chi Minh City into a densely populated area with businesses, office buildings and an industrial park.

S.E.I has not only accomplished many achievements in the designing, constructing, and planning of Tan Tao Industrial Park but it has also implemented many other projects around the country. Not least, it has now become a designer and consultant for projects led by Singaporean and American corporations.

The company was established in June 1999 with the charter capital of VND 100 billion. Later, it was renamed Southern Electronics Informatics & Construction Consulting Company to Southern Engineering & Informatics Investment Corporation – S.E.I and, simultaneously, increased its capital to VND 500 million (USD 31.250.000).

In 2002, S.E.I formed a join venture with Handsel Investment Pte, in Singapore and US Southern Corp, in America. S.E.I and US Southern Corp designed and constructed the Diamond Star, a villa complex, in Houston, the capital of Texas. The cooperation of the two helped the Vietnamese to buy homes or own real estate in America.of ngapore and America.

In 2007, the corporation signed and carried out many contracts. In 2007 revenue exceeded the targets for the year. Meanwhile, the revenue earned off contracts signed with foreign investors has also doubled since 2006. In December, 2007 S.E.I received the ISO 9001:2000 certificate for the second time.

Following great efforts and achievements, S.E.I were honoured with Certificates of Merit by HCM City Authority and HCM City Industrial Parks & Export Processing Zones Department. Moreover, it was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2007.

The profits of the company are also distributed through social work that supports people suffering from calamities, and helps the poor in rural areas.
