Announcement Ceremony of Detailed Scheme and granting Investment Certificate of Vina Universal Paradise Son Tinh Commerce – Service Area

The Vina Film Studio – Tourism Area Corp. is an affiliated company of the ITA Group, one of Vietnam‘s large corporations operating in the development of industrial parks, urban zones, services and luxurious resorts for the past 12 years. The Vina Universal Paradise Son Tinh is a large-scale project in the district with up to VND 1,200 billion investment capital in total to be completed within 4 years.

“Upon operation, the modern Commerce – Service Area composed of high-rise buildings and entertainment centres, garden villas and bungalows will emerge as an attractive gateway for Quang Ngai province. Addtionally, it will satisfy the demand of office leasing and high-end resorts for foreign or Vietnamese people”, said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, President of the Vina Film Studio-Tourism Area Corp. at the Ceremony.

Aside from transforming the barren and unproductive land into a modern and dynamic commercial–service centre, the project will create a modern architecture space for Son Tinh district, equip local laborers with industrial working styles and generate up to 1,500 local jobs. Additionally, through the payment of Business Income Tax, Value-Added Tax and land use fees, the project, once completed, is expected to contribute an estimated hundreds of billion to the Quang Ngai Provincial Budget.

The 1/500 Detailed Scheme of Vina Universal Paradise Son Tinh Commerce – Service Zone has been approved according to the Decision N0. 1716/QĐ-UBND dated September 30, 2008 issued by Son Tinh district People‘s Committee and the Investment Certificate N0. 341200036 dated November 18, 2008 issued by the People‘s Committee of Quang Ngai province. The project has a coverage area of 60.02 hectares with VND 1,196 billion investment capital, of which the Major Investor contributes VND 500 billion and the loan capital of VND 696 billion.

It is planned that the project area be split into four functional areas composed of Housing Area, Public Work Area, Green Parks and Service Area. The Housing Area will consist of 237 attached houses, 183 garden villas and 56 bungalows (single floor wooden houses). The Public Work Area will comprise of kinder garden, cultural house, sports centre, green parks and five commerce-service areas. The Service Area contains traffic system, power and water supply systems, and wastewater and waste treatment plants.

The project will embrace an area of 23.835 hectares housing area, 2.881 hectares public work area, 7.101 hectares commerce-service area, 12.749 hectares green park, central technical work of 0.306 hectares and traffic area of 13.148 hectares.

“The Vina Universal Paradise Son Tinh Commerce – Service Area located in the Northern Gateway to Quang Ngai City will positively uplift the material and spiritual life of the local people”, Chairman of the Son Tinh district People‘s Committee stated at the Ceremony. He suggested that the local authority levels should create favorable conditions for the Investor to carry out the project and the Investor should also comply with the requirements of the processes and time duration and give priority of employment to local people.

In a later speech, Chairman of the People‘s Committee of Son Tinh town affirmed that Party Committee and local authority levels would actively help local people to grasp the importance of the project and agree with resettlement policies, additionaly, create favorable conditions for site clearance for Investor for the timely implementation of the project. He also suggested that the leaders of districts and provinces should give concrete guidance to boost the successful completion of the project.
