ITA Group‘s Chairwoman arrives in Peru for 2008 APEC Summit

ITA Group‘s President Dang Thi Hoang Yen and President of the China-based Alibaba Group were present at the 2008 Peru APEC Summit.

From November 21 to 23, 2008, the Asia-Pacific Leaders’ Summit was taken place in Lima, Peru with the focal discussion of the current global financial meltdown and the pledges of countries.

President of Peru Alan Garcia Perez chaired the Summit with the presence of the leaders of 21 APEC member economies and thousands of large corporations across the globe. ITA Group‘s Chairwoman Dang Thi Hoang Yen participated in the summit at the invitation of the organization board.

In his view of the global credit crisis, the U.S President G. Bush made an address universally regarded as the best in his two presidential terms and pledged to stimulate trade liberalization and human rights protection.

The APEC Economic leaders and the chief executives of large corporations across the world showed their optimism to the revival of the global economy. “The current weak global economy just exhibits a symptom, not a disease and together with rational adjustment, that symptom will soon vanish”, President Perez said.

According to billionaire Jack Ma, President of Alibaba Group, a China-based e-commerce/e-auction company which owns the English language global trade website serving small and medium-sized enterprises Alibaba.com, which attracted at least 23 million visitors in 2008, here was a chance and we should be optimistic about a strong rebound of the global finance.
