ISO Gold Cup 2008 awarded to Tan Tao Group

On September 28, the ISO Gold Cup 2008 Awarding Ceremony took place at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi with the attendance of Vice-chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Kien, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Dang Ngoc Tung and Chairman of the Vietnamese Small and Medium Enterprises Cao Sy Kiem.

The ISO Gold Cup 2008 has been held annually by the Ministry of Science and Technology since its inauguration four years ago.

In 2008, the ISO Gold Cups have been awarded to prominent enterprises and organizations with excellent application of quality management systems according to the international standards of various economic sectors and industries.

Those enterprises are comprised of the Tan Tao Investment & Industry Corporation (ITACO), Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank), Vietnam Paper Corp., Civil Engineering Construction Corp. N0.5, Vietnam Tobacco Corp., Petrol Technical Services Corp., Vietnam Water Construction Corp., Hoang Thach Cement Corp., Viettien Garment Co., Viglacera Co...

Among 135 awarded enterprises have attained effective business activities with high annual growth rates and complied with the State regulations of quality management.

During the awarding ceremony, Mr. Dang Quang Hanh, representing the Tan Tao Group, received the ISO Gold Cup 2008 from the Organizing Board. The Gold Cup has been presented to the Group for recent consecutive years.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan stressed that a larger number of awarded enterprises have demonstrated strong growth and development in the Vietnam enterprise community for applying advanced management tools into production. In the future, the enterprise community should continue to step up advanced quality management, all enterprises need to carry out strong measures to promote technological innovation, building enterprise development plans with social responsibilities.
