Tan Tao University: "One of top 10 universities in the region"

Guests attending the meeting included: Deputy Minister of Education and Training Ministry, Pham Vu Luan and the chiefs of divisions: University Education division, Tran Thi Ha; Planning – Finance Division, Nguyen Van Ngu; Staff Organization Division, Bui Manh Nhi. Education Bureau Chief and institution manager, Pham Manh Hung and Mr. Duong Quoc Xuan - Chairman of Long An People's Committee. Representative of Tan Tao Group included: Ms. Dang Thi Hoang Yen – Management Board Chairwoman, Mr. Dang Quang Hanh - Vice permanent Director and other delegates.

Around the issues of the establishment of Tan Tao university, Ms. Dang Thi Hoang Yen raised the establishment of the project, introduced the project design, the construction, operation criteria, faculty and the specialities at the university. Accordingly, the university are being built as planned and designed by Morris Architects and 5 leading consulting companies of the U.S. in education, community, profession …. 64 blocks in this project include: 10 member universities, 01 research institutes and others accessory buildings such as: Housing for students, lecture halls, research institutes, laboratories, practice workshop, library, dormitory, sport area, parks ... Principal Board are famous professors in United States and Vietnam.

"University of Tan Tao will be a famous one in the world in teaching, research and facility services. The leading private university will provide opportunities to study and become a destination of students throughout the world "- is Ms. Yen's heart speech of the establishment of the university at a meeting with Mr. Ben Wilkinson – agency of Harvard University in Vietnam.

Also by Ms. Yen, the objective proposed within 5 years is that Tan Tao University will strive for one of the top 10 universities in Asia.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Pham Vu Luan and the chiefs of its divisions at the meeting had supported the project to establish Tan Tao University. He said this was the protoplast pilot project established upon the models of multi-school, multi-level, multi-sectors (the model for national university) with a team of professors, lecturers who are famous in the world. This is also a special opportunity to contribute to the education of Vietnam, it is a challenge decision, but it is respected.

Ministry of Education and Training will submit to the Government soon, and make good conditions to establish Tan Tao University and put it into operation.
