Over VND 35 Million Provided in Tet Celebration for Orphans in Hanoi Birla Children Village
At 11 am on January 26, 2008, Mr. Dang Quang Hanh, Vice-President of Tan Tao Group, visited Hanoi Birla Children Village, one of the orphanage centers in Hanoi Capital, and offered Tet presents totalling VND 35 million.
Mr. Hanh was accompanied by Mr. Duong Duc Cuong, a chief representative of the Hanoi Northern Office of the Vietnam-U.S High Techology Dairy Joint Stock Company (Milky Us). The ceremony granting Tet presents to Birla Children Village took place in a warm and joyful atmosphere created by the presence of the many orphans. The VND 35,118,000 sponsorship for the Tet was donated for the 150 children and 25 staff.
At the ceremony, responding to a suggestion by the Director of the Village, Mr. Hanh, on behalf of the Group, decided to offer the Village VND 43 million for a water treatment system to serve the children of the Village.
Back on November 9, 2007, the Northern representative of ITA-Foundations of Tan Tao Group had donated VND 100 million to the Birla Children Village, including scholarships worth VND 46 million and 11 computers worth VND 55 million.
